Wilayah Cydonian di Mars menarik banyak perhatian karena salah satu bukit di daerah itu tampak seperti buatan manusia. Procedure Text How To Make a Chocolate Pound Cake

Ingredients :
• 1/4 cup Process Cocoa
• 2-1/4 cups Cake Flour
• 3/4 cup Sugar
• 3 Egg Whites
• 1 tsp Powdered Sugar
• 2 tsp Vanilla
• 3/4 tsp Baking Soda
• 8 Ounces Low-Fat Yogurt
• 1/4 cup Margarine
• 1/4 tsp Salt
• 1/4 cup Prune Puree

How to make Chocolate Pound Cake :
• Grease the sides and bottom of a loaf pan with cooking spray.
• Sprinkle one teaspoon flour and leave aside.
• Blend prunes puree with margarine in a bowl. Add sugar and beat properly.
• Add egg whites in the above and beat again for 5 minutes until blended. Now add vanilla.
• Mix together the remaining flour, soda, cocoa and salt in a separate bowl.
• Add it to the prune puree blend alternatively with yoghurt.
• Pour this mixture into the greased loaf pan.
• Bake for 55-60 minutes in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F.
• Allow to cool and chocolate pound cake is ready.

Sejarah Persib Bandung

Sebelum bernama Persib, di Kota Bandung berdiri Bandoeng Inlandsche Voetball Bond (BIVB) pada sekitar tahun 1923. BIVB ini merupakan salah satu organisasi perjuangan kaum nasionalis pada masa itu. Atot ini pulalah yang tercatat sebagai Komisaris daerah Jawa Barat yang pertama. BIVB memanfaatkan lapangan Tegallega didepan tribun pacuan kuda. Tim BIVB ini beberapa kali mengadakan pertandingan diluar kota seperti Yogyakarta dan Jatinegara Jakarta.

Asal Usul Perseteruan Viking vs The Jak Mania (Versi Viking)

Banyak yang tidak tau & bertanya, bagaimana sebenarnya permusuhan Viking dengan the Jak bermula. Mengapa timbul rasa benci dalam benak masing-masing dari mereka. Hingga kini, keduanya masih saja berseteru. Bahkan semakin meruncing.

Penyebabnya sepele dan manusiawi, rasa iri. Iri hati dan sirik inilah yang membuat keduanya bermusuhan. Rentang waktu 1985 hingga 1995 adalah masa keemasan Persib. Sementara Viking yang berdiri tahun 1993 begitu setia mendukung klub kebanggaan warga Jawa Barat itu. Dimanapun Persib bermain, disana pasti ada Viking. Termasuk jika bermain di Jakarta. Semua menjadi lautan biru.

Asal Usul Perseteruan Viking vs The Jack (Versi The Jak Mania)

Perseteruan antar suporter Persija dan Persib sudah berlangsung lama, tepatnya sejak tahun 2000 yaitu bertepatan dengan Liga Indonesia 6 berlangsung. Di putaran 1 sekitar 6 buah bis suporter Persib datang ke Lebak Bulus dan masuk ke Tribun Timur. Mereka terdiri dari banyak unit suporter seperti Balad Persib, Jurig, Stone Lovers, ABCD, Viking dll. Saat itu yang terbesar masih Balad Persib. Meski sempat nyaris terjadi gesekan dengan the Jakmania, tapi Alhamdulilah tidak terjadi bentrokan yang lebih luas. Justru suporter Persib bergerak ke arah The Jakmania untuk berjabat tangan. Saya inget yel-yel mereka waktu itu : “ABCD … Anak Bandung Cinta Damai”. Selesai pertandingan suporter Persib juga didampingi the Jakmania menuju bus mereka. The Jakmania mengikuti dengan menyanyikan lagu Halo Halo Bandung.

Penerimaan The Jakmania membuat Viking berniat untuk mengundang datang ke Bandung saat putaran ke 2. Dialog berlangsung lancar karena seorang Pengurus The Jakmania yang bernama Erwan rajin ke Bandung untuk bikin kaos. Hubungan Erwan dengan Ayi Beutik juga konon akrab banget sampai-sampai Erwan pernah cerita kalo dia suka sama adiknya Ayi Beutik. Melalui Erwan jugalah Viking menyatakan keinginannya untuk mengundang dan menyambut the Jakmania di Bandung meski mereka sendiri masih khawatir dengan sikap bobotoh yang lain.

1st Place, "Beauty of the Night Sky" Category
A dazzling green aurora frames the arc of the Milky Way over Jökulsárlón, the largest glacier lake in Iceland, on March 10. The picture is a first-prize winner in the Second International Earth and Sky Photo Contest's "Beauty of the Night Sky" category.
Organized by astronomy-education projects The World at Night (TWAN) and Global Astronomy Month, the contest honors pictures that meet one of two criteria: "either to impress people on how important and amazing the starry sky is, or to impress people on how bad the problem of light pollution has become." In total, ten winners were announced May 9 in either the "Beauty of the Night Sky" or "Against the Lights" category.
To achieve the contest goals, organizers asked for "landscape astrophotography"—pictures of world landmarks against the night sky. This style "brings Earth and sky into one frame, and it's a bridge between the night sky and the environment," TWAN founder and contest judge Babak Tafreshi.
"If we considered dark, starry skies a part of nature and our living world heritage, then we would try to preserve it like the other parts of nature."

Kita sering menjumpai Rental Studio Musik atau Studio Rekaman yang berlokasi "tidak pada tempatnya". Ada studio musik yang berlokasi di pinggir jalan & maksudnya benar-benar di pinggiran jalan. Dibatasi oleh dinding langsung menuju jalur jalan 2 arah dimana rute bis antar kota lalu lalang.
Ada juga studio band yang ada di belakang rumah makan Padang & si pemilik punya jabatan ganda yaitu sebagai penjual masakan Padang & Owner Musik Studio. Maksudnya mungkin baik, jika para pemain sudah berlatih rekaman studio habis-habisan, mungkin akan muncul nafsu makannya dengan memesan nasi Padang hangat langsung di depan pintu keluar Studio Musik & tagihannya akan disatukan dengan bill rentalnya. Bursting with eggs, a pregnant frog with see-through skin is one of five "lost" amphibian species recently rediscovered in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
First described in 1950, Hyperolius leucotaenius was recently found on the banks of the Elila River in southeastern DRC. The status of the five species, first described between 1950 and 1952, was a mystery until they were rediscovered during the recent field expeditions, which took place between 2009 to 2011.
"Like most of the 'lost' amphibian species, they simply hadn't been seen for many decades, and their status was completely unknown," expedition leader Eli Greenbaum, a biologist at the University of Texas at El Paso, said by email.
The DRC expeditions were inspired by Conservation International and the International Union for Conservation of Nature's 2010 effort to rediscover a hundred "lost" amphibian species around the world (see pictures).
That unprecedented effort focused primarily on finding ten species of high scientific and aesthetic value. Ultimately, scientists on that project spotted only 15 "lost" species, and just one from their most wanted list.
The newly announced discovery of the DRC frogs "is good news," according to Greenbaum, whose work was partially funded by the National Geographic Society's Committee for Research and Exploration. (The Society owns National Geographic News.)
"My team's discoveries confirm that those jungles have been poorly explored," he said in a statement. "There is a lot of biodiversity there, and it's not too late to redouble our efforts at conservation."

Underwater color photography was born with this shot of a hogfish, photographed off the Florida Keys in the Gulf of Mexico by Dr. William Longley and National Geographic staff photographer Charles Martin in 1926. Equipped with cameras encased in waterproof housing and pounds of highly explosive magnesium flash powder for underwater illumination, the pair pioneered underwater photography.

A blast of highly explosive magnesium flash powder allowed photographers Longley and Martin to photograph underwater life for the first time. When the men wanted to take a photograph, they clicked the camera’s shutter, which tripped a battery on a raft they dragged behind them. The battery, in turn, triggered the magnesium powder explosion, which illuminated the sea down to 15 feet (4.6 meters).

In a world that is aiming to use less fuel, governments have begun to realize that fuel taxes don't stretch as far as they once did.
Increasing fuel economy of vehicles and a federal gas tax untouched since the Clinton Administration in the United States have left holes in state and federal road maintenance budgets, which are fueled almost entirely through gas taxes.
Europe, meanwhile, is sensing that its scheme of famously high fuel taxes is outdated. The rules have created a paradox where the very fuels that governments are trying to discourage—heavily polluting fossil fuels—face the lowest taxes.

According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Greenpeace, several Libyan vessels, legally unauthorized to fish for the endangered bluefin tuna, have left Malta bound for Libyan waters. Their goal is to take advantage of the chaos in the country due to its civil war. The Libyan government is fighting for remaining in power, hence they probably are not paying much attention to fishing in their waters. That raises the question: is war bad for fish?

Space Pictures This Week: Vibrant Lagoon, Mock Mars

Seen through binoculars or small telescopes, the Lagoon nebula is a ghostly blur tinged with pink tucked inside the constellation Sagittarius. But with the powerful gaze of the Gemini South telescope in Chile, astronomers have created a dramatic new view of this stellar nursery.
Released this week, the false-color picture shows the nebula in vibrant hues thanks to a combination of data from several light filters. The dense cloud of dust and gas is a birthplace for medium- and low-mass stars, most of which are embedded in thick cocoons of material. The bluish points of light in the frame are young stars in the background.

Spain's Andalucia region stood in for Mars during recent field tests of a prototype rover and space suit designed for a human mission to the red planet.
In development for the European Space Agency, the Eurobot rover carries interchangeable tools and a suite of instruments. It can operate on its own or work as a lab assistant for astronauts—even providing human explorers with rides.

In a milestone moment for Virgin Galactic, the commercial spaceflight firm successfully tested its SpaceShipTwo vehicle in "feathered" flight mode for the first time this week.
Like the space shuttles, the commercial craft is designed to reenter Earth's atmosphere by gliding. But SpaceShipTwo sports a unique design that lets the craft rotate its tail section upward to be at a 65-degree angle to the fuselage. This configuration creates shuttlecock-like drag, slowing the craft while reducing heat from friction.

Confetti colors adorn the dwarf galaxy NGC 4214 in a composite picture from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope released Thursday.
The galaxy, about ten million light-years from Earth, is roiling with star formation. But astronomers have also seen clusters of much older stars dotted around this "starburst" galaxy, indicating that the current round of star births is not the first to happen in this part of space.
And the galaxy's abundant hydrogen—the main ingredient in stars—means that star birth in the region will likely continue far into the future.

Deep fractures cut across the surface of the red planet in a recently released picture from the European Space Agency's Mars Express orbiter.
The image captures part of the Nili Fossae region, a collection of curved faults and troughs northwest of the ancient impact basin Isidis. The curves tend to follow the outline of the basin, suggesting the fractures formed in the aftermath of the impact.

NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recently zoomed in on an active region of the sun, capturing this image of plasma—charged gas—streaming back and forth along magnetic field lines.
SDO watched as the suspended plasma, glowing red hot in extreme ultraviolet light, shuttled above the sun's surface for more than two days.

Striking near the southeastern town of Lorca (map), the Spain earthquakes injured dozens, damaged historic buildings, and fractured highways, according to officials cited by the Associated Press.
The second, more powerful earthquake was a magnitude 5.3 temblor that struck at 6:47 p.m. local time, U.S. National Earthquake Information Center seismologist John Bellini told the AP. It came roughly two hours after a magnitude 4.5 quake rocked the town of 91,000. Both earthquakes originated from the same approximately six-mile-deep (ten-kilometer-deep) spot outside Lorca.
Situated near the boundary of the African and Eurasian tectonic plates, the Lorca area is no stranger to earthquakes, though most are too faint to detect without seismological tools, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A routine trip to the water hole recently resulted in a life-or-death struggle for a pair of African elephants when they were ambushed by a hungry Nile crocodile (pictured).
Tourist Martin Nyfeler of Kloten, Switzerland, captured pictures of the wild encounter during a visit to Zambia's South Luangwa National Park in late September.
"We saw a mother elephant and baby at the water hole and said [to the guides], You know, what a cute picture, let's stop here," Nyfeler told National Geographic News. "And suddenly the croc jumped out. The whole event took maybe 15 seconds."

Size Matters?
Although elephants are very unusual prey for Nile crocodiles, the 20-foot-long (6-meter-long) reptiles will occasionally ambush and take down large animals—including dozens of people annually, experts say. (Related: "Ancient Horned Crocodile Found—Ate Early Humans?").
"Even as [crocodiles] get bigger, most of their diet will be fish or smaller animals," said Jason Bell, assistant curator of reptiles and amphibians at the Philadelphia Zoo.
"But they are also an opportunistic predator that will wait for something to come to the water's edge and drink," he said. "They've been known to take down young hippos or cape buffalo—that's a huge animal that they can pull into the water."

Biggest Great White Shark Caught, Released

Talk about a big fish—an expedition crew has hauled up—and released—what the team says is the biggest great white shark yet caught.
The 17.9-foot-long (5.5-meter-long) male behemoth was found off Mexico's Guadalupe Island (map) in fall 2009.
The animal breaks the team's previous record of 16.8 feet (5.1 meters), set when they caught a female great white named Kimel. (Both records are unofficial and not maintained by a formal organization.) The new titleholder was named Apache after the dog of Brett McBride, boat captain on the National Geographic Channel show Shark Men. (The National Geographic Channel is part-owned by the National Geographic Society, which owns National Geographic News.)
Shark Men chronicles the work of scientists and fishers who catch and release great whites in an effort to figure out where the mysterious giants breed and give birth. The scientific team is led by Michael Domeier, president and executive director of the Marine Conservation Science Institute.
